Jun Fan Kung Fu
Jun Fan Kung Fu (also refered as Jeet Kune Do Concepts) was founded
and made popular by Bruce Lee in the 1960's. This method is a hand to
hand fighting method and is our primary base for our kickboxing
classes. Included in this art are all ranges of kicking, punching,
trapping, grappling and groundwork. The movements are crisp, and
efficient, utilizing the most direct lines and angles. Once an attack
has been launched there are no breaks or interruptions. The Jun Fan
fighting strategy has lost none of its effectiveness over time.
The building block of Jun Fan Kung Fu is Wing
Chun which we continue to study under sifu Francis Fong. It has
also been influenced by other styles, such as Northern Praying Mantis,
Southern Praying Mantis, Choy Li Fut, Eagle Claw, Western Boxing,
Wrestling, Fencing, Judo, Jiu Jitsu, and some of the more refined
kicks of the Northern & Southern Chinese styles.
The training consists of the methods developed by Bruce Lee, and
preserved and taught to today by Dan Inosanto and Larry Hartsell.
The following members of Wu Hsin Kuen Academy are certified in Jun Fan
Kung Fu under guro Dan Inosanto:
